Consultancy

What is it?

Working with DJB under a consultancy arrangement means you instruct us to undertake segments of work in support of a large project you are undertaking for your client. The segments are defined whole matters, such as Lease Reports, Reports on Title, Certificates of Title or specialist advisory work such as agricultural law, planning, CPOs.

The difference between this and approved partners, is that DJB lawyers have no contact with your client. They simply feed their advice directly to your internal team who maintain all client liaison.

How does it work?

You instruct us on the the matter, we assign an appropriate lawyer or lawyers and our lawyers work directly with your team (with no client contact). We manage our team and service delivery to you at no additional cost.

EXAMPLES OF OUR SUPPORT TO FIRMS

We supported a multinational professional services firm to review a suite of draft construction documents, to include proposed amendments to a JCT contract, professional appointments and a suite of collateral warranties or third-party rights. We were instructed to ensure that the documents were in line with current market practice. This work had a 7-working day turnaround.

One of the largest global law firms instructed us on 7 lease reports to be completed with a 4-day turnaround. We provided 48 hours of our lawyers’ time and successfully completed this to their tight timescales.

During the busy period running up to Christmas 2021, we were instructed by a UK Top 15 law firm on the title due diligence and lease reporting for 6 sites in a retail park. The timescale was 15 working days. We mobilised a team quickly and completed in advance of the deadline.

“YOUR LAWYER HAS BEEN AN INVALUABLE MEMBER OF THE TEAM DURING BUSY TIMES FOR US... THEIR FLEXIBLE LEGAL SKILLS HAVE ENSURED A SEAMLESS SERVICE WITH CLIENTS, AND ADDED MUCH-NEEDED ROBUSTNESS TO THE TEAM AT A CHALLENGING TIME.”
