Sarah joined DJB in 2022, bringing 13 years’ commercial property experience to the firm. Prior to her role at DJB, Sarah practised as a real estate solicitor at Top 100 firms such as Birketts and Myerson as well as working at Top 50 Weightmans and in-house at The Emerson Group.
Sarah has a broad mix of experience in transactional matters, landlord and tenant, refinancing, auctions, acquisitions and sales, estate management, development and corporate support. She has acted for a wide variety of clients including investors, developers, retailers, landlords, tenants, charities, borrowers and lenders.
WORK HIGHLIGHTS

Sarah acted as the primary commercial property adviser to an international cosmetics company, with turnover in excess of £50 million, in relation to all of its leasehold acquisitions and disposals across London and the Home Counties.

Sarah has regularly acted for investors upon the acquisition of sites, setting them up for development purposes and the subsequent lettings of the completed units.

Sarah worked in-house for The Emerson Group, advising predominantly on its commercial and retail portfolios involving lettings ranging from £50,000 to £450,000 per annum.

Sarah acted for a family investment company with a large office portfolio across the North West in connection with all of their lettings and estate management requirements.

Sarah advised a high net worth investor in connection with two significant and imminent auction purchases requiring the overnight scrutiny of complex documents followed by in depth meetings early the next day to enable the client to make a decision within tight timeframes.

Sarah acted for an individual property investor in connection with the successful purchase of a former petrol station at auction, which involved advising on contamination and highway dedication issues within a limited timeframe. Sarah subsequently advised the same client on the sale and development of the site by way of a contract conditional on planning.

Sarah advised a high net worth investor upon the £3 million auction purchase of a multi-let industrial site in Doncaster.

Sarah led a team on a £4.5 million purchase of part of a new build, part-let freehold industrial estate with issues including access rights, restrictive covenants and the on-going development of the remainder of the estate. This required working with property litigation and construction specialists to ensure comprehensive advice.

Sarah secured instructions from a telephone enquiry to act upon the financed purchase of a multi-let property in Stratford-upon-Avon for £2.3m which involved the simultaneous refinancing of one of the client’s existing commercial properties. Sarah subsequently became the main adviser for this investor client’s property needs.

Sarah acted on the £2.5 million acquisition of a tenanted industrial unit involving complex title and access issues.
