Ben is able to provide property litigation support in all aspects of real estate matters including complex property related disputes, landlord and tenant, development disputes, contract claims, injunctions, dilapidations, service charge disputes and joint venture disputes.

  • Acted for well-known retail brand in multiple transactions including disputed lease renewals, service charge disputes, dilapidations advice, portfolio management, development and contract disputes.

  • Acted for international hotel in appeal relating to boundary dispute, award of damages and injunctive relief.

  • Acted for overseas holding company of iconic London building, providing property litigation support to transactional team in contested business lease renewal and tenant insolvency related issues.

  • Acted for global manufacturer in £1m+ dilapidations claim of factory. Included instructing leading counsel and successfully settling matter at pre-action stage.

  • Acted for several well-known insurers advising on solicitors’ negligence claims and providing property litigation support to contentious construction team. Clients include national property companies.

  • Acted for international technology company in relation to landlord works carried out at its UK HQ, successfully securing a significant rent reduction.

  • Acted for individual in property litigation and construction issues against principle contractor and professional team relating to a £10m+ development.

  • Acted for national developer in dispute surrounding option agreement and boundaries on large-scale city centre development project.

  • Provided property litigation support to corporate team in relation to vacant possession strategy of national food franchise. This included preparation of notices under the LTA 1954 and advice on lease exit strategies for over 50 sites.

  • Acted for a defendant of proceedings by Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation Limited (reported case).

  • Acted for overseas holding company of well-known luxury west end department store including advice in relation to covid rent freeze. Provided insolvency team with property litigation support.

  • Advised Family Office in UK business and property investments, primarily developments and refurbishments of historic buildings in London.

  • Acted for multiple defendants in thirty-something party Court of Appeal claim involving family dispute over breaches of partnership/directors’ duties, landlord and tenant issues and breaches of settlement agreements.

  • Acted for multiple defendants in major UK and offshore trusts fraud surrounding a UK property development (reported case).
