Dilapidations Mediation for The Department for Education
Advised the Department for Education on a claim for dilapidations relating to its former occupation of office premises in central London, valued at close to £300k. Maeve attended mediation on behalf of the client, ultimately settling the claim at less than a third of the amount originally claimed.
£700k Professional Negligence Claim
Acting for residents at Putsborough Sands in North Devon in a professional negligence claim against engineers who had designed and overseen the construction of a coast protection scheme. Maeve successfully obtained some £700k in damages against the engineers.
Dilapidations Advice to The Cabinet Office
Advised the Cabinet Office on a £1.3 million claim for dilapidations relating to their exit from a multi-storey office building in Central London. Maeve rejected both the claim and a subsequent settlement offer, leading to the claim being dropped.
