Estates Gazette Awards 2017

DJB attended the Estates Gazette Awards last week as a nominee for the Real Estate Legal Team of the Year Award.

The firm was joined in the category by other leading City law firms. The firms were shortlisted for their outstanding service to the real estate sector by judges that included Joe Borrett, Director of Real Estate and Construction at Google, Sherin Aminossehe, COO of the Government Property Unit and other industry leaders from property companies, institutional investors, developers and advisors.

The event, held at Grosvenor House, was an enormous success and we would like to pass on our gracious thanks to Estates Gazette and their staff for all the hard work that went into organising it. We would also like to congratulate all of the winners on the night.

Geoffrey Lander, Non-Executive Director at DJB commented:

It was a fun night catching up with old friends and meeting some new people who became old friends by the end of the evening! We were thrilled to be nominated as Real Estate Law Firm of the Year and would like to congratulate the winner.

Here are some photographs of the evening for your viewing (and amusement!):

Who says that real estate lawyers only deliver bad news! DJB Non-Executive Director Geoffrey Lander and Paul Disley-Tindall, Director at Telereal Trillium sharing a joke.

We were delighted to host so many esteemed guests on our table. DJB Account Manager Sophie Davies shares a conversation with Nick Shattock, Partner at Chainwork Capital and Paul Disley-Tindall, Director at Telereal Trillium.

DJB Partner Emma Tonkin and John Bywater, Non-Executive Director at Caddick Developments are reading Estates Gazette on John's phone (we are speculating).

Nick Martel, Executive Director and COO EMEA Retail and Head of Advisory and Transactions for EMEA Retail at CBRE shares his wisdom with DJB Senior Partner Madeleine Davitt.

A waiter just asked if there was any wine left in the bottles.

A special thank you to all of our guests that, in addition to the aforementioned, included Anna Lewis, Director of Edge House (pictured above) and Rupert Wood, Property Director of Asset Management at St Modwen. Congratulations Rupert for avoiding Geoffrey's camera lens!
