Simon is a commercial property expert, having practiced at top international law firms including Latham & Watkins, Linklaters and DLA Piper, as well as in-house at Getir and Amazon. Prior to joining Davitt Jones Bould, Simon advised the likes of Harrods, Bank of China, ITV, Boffi, IHG, and The Carlyle Group.
Simon is able to advise on the full spectrum of commercial property matters including (but not limited to) acquisitions, developments, leases as well as all elements of estate management. His career highlights include working on landmarks such as Spinningfields, Harrods and 10 Upper Bank Street, being a critical member of the team that enabled Getir to become the number one fast-delivery grocery retailer in Europe and supporting gender equality through the implementation of various charitable initiatives in Africa and Eastern Europe

Assisted Getir negotiate and complete leases for over 500 new stores, distribution warehouses and offices in Europe (UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands & Portugal) and the United States.

Reported directly to the GC and worked on a number of financing rounds and corporate acquisitions (including Gorillas, Weezy, the BLOK). Handled real estate litigation, planning and associated matters.

Implemented Amazon’s extensive last-mile delivery network in the UK, Germany and France.

Advised the charity Centrepoint and its patron HRH Prince William.

Advised Qatar Holding LLC (a wholly owned subsidiary of Qatar Investment Authority) on its acquisition of the Harrods Group.

Advising on the acquisition by Ciena Corporation of Nortel’s Metro Ethernet Networks from Nortel Networks Corporation, a supplier of networking products and solutions.

Advising The Carlyle Group in connection with the real estate elements on the acquisition of the pharmaceuticals and packaging giant Chesapeake from Irving Place Capital and Oaktree Capital.

Advised on the acquisition and restructuring of Bluebrook Limited, which is the holding company of IMO Car Wash group, a UK-based chain of 200+ car washes.

Advised Hancock Prospecting on the real estate elements of its $300m investment in Sirus Metals and their North Yorkshire Polyhalite Project, consisting of a new mine, a 37km underground conveyor system and a materials handling and port facilities.

Advised Biomed Reality on the acquisition of Granta Park (a premier science research park encompassing 472,200 square feet) in Cambridge for £127m.
