The UK commercial real estate market is valued at £1.3 trillion (Savills, 2018).   55% of this is currently owned by investors in their various structures.  Trends to watch out for in 2019 includes the continued re-purpose of retail space into residential, office and logistical property.  Local government investments are also increasing.  Property companies are recommending more investments in student housing, offices for shared working and self storage centres.
