Andrew is a highly experienced agricultural lawyer with many decades of experience. He has contributed to, and is a member of, the Sustainable Food Trust,and is concerned for the survival of the family owned farming business and, in general, about the decline in the quality of food we eat.
His expertise includes advising on: farming partnerships, farm succession planning strategies and farm diversification strategies as well as farms and land sales and purchases, overage, agricultural tenancies and general property matters.

Concluding the sale of a farm for the development of 600 houses for £10.3 million.
Buying a farm, with one leasehold title of part for a term of 4,000 years dating from 1718, for £2.5 million.
Buying a farm for £7 million and effecting a sub-sale of part for £2.75 million immediately prior to completion of the purchase.
Settling land capital farming partnerships under the “Balfour”principle and implementing a diversification strategies.
Dealing with dissolution of farming partnerships, the partition of the land and the division of equipment, live and dead stock between the former partners.
Advising on Agricultural Holdings Act, 1986 matters and disputes and settling farm business tenancies under the 1995 Act.
Advising on a shareholder’s action for “unfair prejudice” under the Companies Act, 1986 involving a family property company.
Initiating and dealing with the demerger of a data services company worth £12 million with substantial investments in mining companies.
