STEPHEN CHALCRAFT

Stephen leads Davitt Jones Bould's Higher Education team and has considerable experience on large development projects involving the public sector.  He has a particular interest in structuring and delivering complex real estate led projects in the higher education, local authority, and housing sectors, and has a special interest in the transition to net zero carbon, sustainability and green leases, procurement and delivery structures.

He is renowned for providing an exceptional project management service, bringing together all relevant disciplines working on large projects, both legal and commercial.

Work Highlights

• Advising a University client on a property joint venture agreement for the establishment of a new international student campus in Bangkok.

• Advising a University client on the master planned re-development of a major part of its campus to include a new Student Centre to create a dramatic “front door” between the University campus and the City centre.

• Advising on the acquisition and development of a new town centre University campus site linking the new campus to the local Higher Education College and to the wider town centre.

• Advising a City Council and its public sector transport body (as joint equity stakeholders) on the disposal, in conjunction with their development partner, of two city centre office developments.

• Advising a public sector transport body on the development of key elements of the metro link extensions to Manchester Airport and separately to Media City.
