  • Development: Acted for the University of Birmingham on the acquisition of a highly contaminated site in Edgbaston from Birmingham City Council and the construction of a new Life Sciences Campus by Bruntwood.


  • Chemicals: Acted for Bluewater Private Equity on the management-backed buyout of the px group by U.S investors Ara partners and Aksiom Group which includes Saltend Chemicals Park in Hull.


  • Waste: Advised on several acquisitions for hazardous waste operator Trade be, including Scotoil and the Fawley High Temperature Incinerator near Southampton that accepts low-level radioactive waste.


  • Media: Acted for the owners of the iconic Bray Film Studios in Windsor on the sale to Amazon Prime.


  • Health care: Acted on the sale of Priory Group hospitals to Waterland Private Equity for £1.1b.


  • Defence: Acted for Defence Infrastructure Organisation on the sale and environmental liability transfer of MOD sites to St. Modwen and other national developers.


  • Agricultural: Acted for the Wellcome Trust on the acquisition of Co-operative Group’s farm business for £249m.


  • Transport: Acted for DB Schenker in a successful claim after its oil plc tenant polluted a storage facility serving Heathrow.


  • Airports: Acted for Manchester Airport Group on the acquisition of East Midlands Airport.


  • Local authorities: Acted for St Helens Borough Council on contaminated land enforcement action against a glass manufacturer. Acted for South Ribble Borough Council in contaminated lad proceedings against BMW.
