We are delighted to share that Davitt Jones Bould has been appointed as a supplier on Lot 2 of the Government Commercial Agency's (GCA) RM6374 Legal Panel for Public Sector, providing public sector organisations across the UK with a compliant and efficient route to access specialist legal advice.

As a real estate specialist firm founded by former Government Property Lawyers, our history is rooted in meeting the needs of the public sector. We’ve worked alongside the sector for many years, supporting ambitious plans and guiding clients through ongoing pressures and reduced resources. This appointment reflects that long-standing purpose which is still with us today: delivering high‑quality, reliable legal advice at rates that safeguard the public purse.

The Government Commercial Agency (GCA) is the UK’s central commercial and procurement organisation, connecting public and private sectors to achieve the best outcomes for the UK and its citizens. GCA uses its commercial expertise to create a simpler procurement experience that redirects valuable resources into essential public services - creating value for the nation.

From advising on the regeneration of deprived areas to supporting estates teams at a government body during the Covid-19 pandemic, our passion for the Public Sector has seen us service central and local government as well as the health and defence sectors on the issues they face every day.  Some of our work has included:

  • Advising on the multimillion-pound disposal of a hospital for a Government body.

  • Advising a defence organisation on the multi-million-pound disposal of its headquarters, including complex contamination issues.

  • Acting on a public inquiry relating to the expansion of a major airport.

  • Advising a local authority on a multi-million-pound acquisition of a building to become the council’s new town hall.

  • Advising on the construction of the Bomber Command Memorial in Green Park.

  • Advising on the transfer of the Wave Hub, in order to cement the UK as a leading renewable energy provider.

We’re proud to continue servicing on the GCA framework which provides both existing and prospective clients with another accessible route to engage the firm and benefit from the specialist expertise of our public sector teams.
